No special features. Simplicity itself allows for more self-expression. With their traditional forms, these scissors are not particularly eye-catching, but we designed them with special expertise and care. The screw and the finger can rest in the correct position, the handle is suitable for anyone's fingers, and the length and balance of the scissors result in perfect power transmission to the blade. We were able to achieve all this thanks to many years of experience and dedicated work. Craftsmanship and attention to detail have been hereditary throughout our 90-year history, standing the test of time, and this type remains popular today due to its simple beauty and quality.

EXTRAMARISE® is a special heat treatment developed specifically for the manufacturing technology of hairdressing scissors by MIZUTANI, utilizing data and knowledge accumulated over the years. The same metal can offer completely different performance due to different heat treatment procedures. To maximize the special qualities of these rare metals (cobalt, molybdenum, vanadium, and others), we have added the largest possible quantity to our products, thus achieving the ideal metal blend for hairdressing scissors. To bring out the special characteristics of the materials and produce a blade that is strong enough for hairdressing scissors, we at MIZUTANI have developed our own heat treatment, which is ideal for hairdressing scissors: the EXTRAMARISE® process.
