Do you know why orange is Mizutani's color?

The manufacturing process for a Mizutani scissor takes place at extremely high temperatures, for example, when the parts are welded together. During the welding process, the steel glows orange, so we chose this pure, elemental creative process as our symbol, making orange our main color.

Truly clean and sharp tips, and lightweight components give the Cut S series its characteristics.

The new design and the orange adjusting screw make the Cut S series an exceptionally precise tool.

EXTRAMARISE® is a special heat treatment, specifically developed for the manufacturing technology of hair cutting scissors by MIZUTANI, utilizing data and knowledge accumulated over the years. The same metal can offer completely different performance due to various heat treatment procedures. To maximize the special qualities of these rare metals (cobalt, molybdenum, vanadium, and others), we have added the largest possible quantity to our products, thereby achieving the ideal metal blend for hair cutting scissors.
