These scissors were developed from scratch by Leen and Bertus, two charismatic figures from the barber world.

The “Schorem Master,” which we perfected at the Mizutani central factory (after numerous small added improvements with the team), possesses optimal properties for men's haircuts, thanks to its design, handling, shape, and choice of steel alloy.

These scissors are characterized by incredible stability, tailored for fade haircuts and other classic men's styles.

The world-famous SCHOREM Barber Shop, located in Rotterdam, has forged its own path in an authentic classic Dutch style, inspiring hundreds of thousands of barbers and clients.

EXTRAMARISE® is a special heat treatment, developed specifically for the manufacturing technology of hair-cutting scissors by MIZUTANI, utilizing data and knowledge gathered over the years. The same metal can exhibit completely different performance due to various heat treatment procedures. To maximize the unique qualities of these rare metals (cobalt, molybdenum, vanadium, and others), we added the largest possible quantity to our products, thereby achieving the ideal metal blend for hair-cutting scissors. To bring out the special characteristics of the materials and to produce a blade that is sufficiently strong for hair-cutting scissors, we at MIZUTANI developed our own heat treatment, which is ideal for hair-cutting scissors: the EXTRAMARISE® process.
